The Hindle House Community Centre ‘Drop and Go’ & ‘Stay and Play’ Summer Holiday Project for under 8’s and their parents and carers

A six week project with five sessions a week for under 8’s and their parents and carers for Hindle House residents and the local community. Based in the downstairs hall of the estates community centre and based around 6 day trips that take place on each Friday of the school summer holiday period.

Providing a series of weekly afternoon sessions between 1-30 and 4-30pm. Monday through Thursday we aim to provide a series of fun and enjoyable art based activities that have an educational element
underpinning them. The 2 weekly ‘drop and go’ sessions will be led by a qualified artist and assistant.

The two weekly ‘stay and play’ sessions will be drop in, over-seen by a community worker and open to all parents, carers and their under 8’s. Parents/carers must stay with their children during these session and be responsible for their children at all times.

The six planned weeks are:
- The Flower, tree and Plant week: Visiting Kew Garden
- Creatures of the Sea week: Visiting the London Aquarian
- The Animal Kingdom week: Visiting London Zoo

- The Good Food and Healthy Eating week: Visiting local park and picnic
